After my last post, we played our set and hit the streets of La Crosse, WI and let me just tell you this: we. love. la crosse.
Travis decided it was hilarious to ask EVERYONE we walked by if they were from Wisconsin and how much they liked cheese on a scale from 1 to 10. Haha. This made for some hilarious encounters, and most importantly we concluded that Wisconsiners do indeed love their cheese (except for that one girl who was lactose intolerant).
Their are 3 colleges near La Crosse, WI so the town was hoppin, to say the least. Our night was filled with Jimmy Johns, beer, dance-offs, punching contests (we found that Travis’ special move was actually his killer head bunt), cheese curds, and getting chased by Thor. It doesn’t get much better than that haha.
Last night we played Barrington, IL, which is about 30 minutes outside Chicago. It was SUCH a great show. We had a ton of kids come out. I couldn’t believe it actually. And it was great because a lot of them came early so we had plenty of time to hang out before the show and sing songs outside the venue. We also got to do our first “Digital Tour Bus” with Josh Weilding, which was a blast. Overall, the night was incredible and was a perfect way to end the tour with our great friends in New County and What Happened In Vegas.
We came back to Ro’s to find an extra large pizza, pop, and chicken wings waiting for us, crowned with an amazing letter from THE lady herself (Ro, that is!). We are treated like family here (or better than family, depending on who’s family you’re looking at haha) and I’m so glad that this family is in our lives and that we got to stay here this tour.
Well, today we have an interview and on-air performance at Fearless Radio in Chicago, and then we hit the ol’ dusty trail back to Ohio. (womp!). Until next time, stay classy.
Last night we got to see some of my best friends, Matt Brown and Nick Westgor, and we got to meet Matt’s family, as they were kind enough to give us a place to stay. The show was really fun! Over 150 kids showed up and me sims, and aaron and rob from What Happened In Vegas bonded on a new level haha
We are playing tonight at The Warehouse in LaCrosse, WI. There is no one here. haha. But Steve, the venue owner/sound guy/bar tender/general bad ass is an amazing guy and meeting him has made the whole night worth it. Also, this town is pretty sick. Honestly, devin and I think it rivals Nashville (minus all the sweet music stuff)
Well, I gotta go play! Peace.
